OUT OF THE BOX

A design proposal for a public photo point in the city of Pardubice, based on the wordplay “out of the box” — meaning both creative thinking and literally stepping out of a box. The installation takes the form of an oversized box from which people can “step out” into a photograph.
The background features iconic elements of the city (castle, plague column, Green Gate, characteristic architecture), creating playful perspective effects where even the landmarks appear to emerge from the box.
The photo spot encourages interaction and photo sharing, supporting the city’s promotion. It is designed as a durable, mobile structure that can be placed in various prominent locations as needed.

Návrh městského fotopointu pro Pardubice vychází ze slovní hříčky „out of the box“, tedy „myslet jinak“ i „vystoupit z krabice“. Instalace má podobu zvětšené krabice, ze které mohou lidé doslova „vystoupit“ do fotografie.
Pozadí tvoří motivy města (zámek, morový sloup, Zelená brána, architektura) a na některých místech vzniká díky perspektivě vtipná interakce, kdy z boxu „vystupují“ i samotné památky.
Fotopoint podporuje přirozenou interakci a sdílení fotografií, čímž přispívá k propagaci města. Je navržen jako odolný a mobilní prvek, který lze umisťovat na různá exponovaná místa podle potřeby.
